Legal
Terms & Conditions
1. Public liability
Seahorse Studio acts as a host venue and facilitator of space only. All classes, workshops and sessions listed on this site are delivered by independent, self-employed teachers who are not employees or agents of Seahorse Studio.
Responsibility for public liability in respect of any class, session or activity rests solely with the individual teacher delivering it, and not with Seahorse Studio, its owners or its staff. By booking or attending a session you acknowledge that any claim arising from injury, loss or damage during a class is directed to the teacher concerned and their insurer, not to Seahorse Studio.
2. Teacher insurance & vetting
Seahorse Studio will, where possible, take reasonable steps to ensure that teachers using the studio hold appropriate and current public liability insurance, relevant teaching qualifications and satisfactory vetting (including DBS checks where applicable). However, Seahorse Studio cannot guarantee the currency or adequacy of any individual teacher's insurance or credentials at any given time, and accepts no liability for any failure or shortfall in a teacher's cover, qualifications or conduct.
Any verification carried out by Seahorse Studio is a goodwill measure only and does not transfer liability from the teacher to the studio.
3. Bookings & payments
Bookings and payments are processed per the terms of the individual teacher or class. Refund, cancellation and transfer policies may vary by teacher; please refer to the class listing or contact the teacher directly. Seahorse Studio is not party to the booking contract between you and a teacher.
4. Participation
Yoga and movement practices carry inherent risk. You are responsible for assessing your own suitability for a class and for informing the teacher of any health condition, injury or pregnancy before participating. If in doubt, consult a medical professional before booking.
5. Studio hire
Teachers hiring the studio space do so as independent hirers. Seahorse Studio provides the premises in good order and is not responsible for the content, delivery or outcome of any session held within it.
6. Teacher responsibilities
By hiring the studio and delivering classes at Seahorse Studio, teachers confirm that they hold current public liability insurance covering each and every class they deliver, and that they are responsible for all public liability arising from their classes — not Seahorse Studio, its owners or its staff.
Teachers agree to keep their insurance, teaching certifications and DBS documents current and available for the studio to review, to accept the studio hire policy and studio rules published on this site, and to indemnify Seahorse Studio against any claim arising from a class they deliver.
7. Contact
For any question about these terms, please contact the studio.
